Page 45 Says It All

Today, I came across something on the internet that said:

Pick Up the Book Nearest to You and Turn to Page 45. The first complete sentence describe your sex life.

I chuckled and thought, yeah right!  ...but I did it anyway even though there was a pile of books for youth. You can bet I was shocked how accurate this was.

Book 1: Aliens on Vacation by Clete Barrett Smith
Page 45: Oh no.  ** too true

I decided to try a few.

Book 2: The Vanishing Coin by Kate Egan
Page 45: He noticed the welcome mat again.  **not sure who "he" is & who might be welcomed again.

Book 3: The Giver by Lois Lowry
Page 45: But only one.   **very good advice

Book 4: Diary of a Wimpy Kid #8
Page 45: Ok, you know things are bad when even your little brother has more friends than you. **sad

Book 5: Elvis & Olive by Stephanie Watson
Page 45: Oops!  **Yes, I figured that out by now.

Book 6; Nancy Drew Diaries, Curse of the Arctic Star by Carolyn Keene
Page 45: She hit the button on the keyboard and grimaced.  *is this because I am avoiding online dating?

Well, there you have it. Perhaps the answer is to check out different books in the library.

Who’s your Daddy?

Don't you just love when your kids say something so ridiculously funny when they have no idea what they are saying?  Tonight, I overheard this conversation between Lexi and Jordan:

Lexi, "Jordan, you have to shake what your momma gave you."
Jordan, "No, the mailman gave me this."

At this point, I am thinking... the mailman gave him something?  ...and sounds like I had an affair with the mailman and he is Jordan's real dad.  I just had to walk into the other room to see what he was talking about.

I asked him what the mailman gave him.  Jordan pointed at his shirt.  I guess when I order things online, it is really the mailman that gives it to Jordan.

Still Laughing

Since all of our local channels are stuck on the aftermath of IKE, we've been missing out on normal things. I don't watch much television. I usually catch about 30 minutes of the Today Show, but even that isn't on. When the tv is on my husband watches ESPN or Lexi watches a kid show. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to hear about the Saturday Night Live Clip & had to search for it on google. This made me laugh, so I'm posting it:

I think that most people will find it funny, no matter which way they plan to vote. This is my big political contribution this year. Humor is the spice of life!
